SUMMARY:Critical Edge Concealed Carry

Included are segments on concealment techniques and devices\, presenting the firearm from concealment\, utilizing cover and concealment\, presentation and movement\, point shooting\, instinctive shooting \, low-light shooting engaging multiple targets and one-hand shooting. These skills form the key capabilities used to counter a life-threatening attack away from home. The course begins with a review of basic firearms safety and then delves into safety as related to concealed carry for defense. Important strategies for personal safety outside the home are presented. The techniques of carrying a concealed pistol are covered. Students have an opportunity to learn\, and practice\, how to present a firearm from concealment and to further develop the basic defensive shooting skills learned in basic home defense classes. The course also provides training in the development of concealed carry shooting skills\, special defensive shooting techniques\, legal aspects of concealed carry\, self defense and the law and the legal aftermath of the defensive use of a weapon. The course is limited to 12 participants. \nThe course is open to U.S. citizens age 21 and above. Students must provide a copy of a current Government issued identification (such as a driver’s license or U. S. Passport) AND a copy of their current concealed carry permit or a statement of no criminal history from a local law enforcement agency. \nThis is not be a beginners class. A basic pistol class and a home defense course (or equivalents) are required. Participants must be experienced pistol shooters. Students must be thoroughly familiar with their pistol\, its operation and demonstrate safe firearms handling skills throughout the course. Required gear: You will need a copy of your concealed carry permit\, your own eye and hearing protection as well as your own center fire pistol\, an outside the waistband (OWB) hip holster\, a sturdy belt (capable of supporting a loaded pistol and magazine carriers) and a concealment garment\, magazine pouch\, at least two extra magazines or speed loaders (belt carriers highly recommended)\, and 100 rounds of ammunition.
