SUMMARY:Study Hall (Low Light)
DESCRIPTION:This is the first in a continuing series of “Study Hall” sessions.  Each one will focus on a particular skill or concept related to personal security and include a brief classroom session as well as practical exercises.  This particular session will be held on Monday the 16th of November beginning at 5:00 PM in the Duncannon Sportsmen’s Association clubhouse and will focus on the basics of low light defensive shooting.  This particular skill is fundamental for both Home Defense and Concealed Carry situations.  While the topic is touched upon in both Home Defense and Concealed Carry training\, the Study Hall will address it in additional depth. \nThe Study Hall is open to U.S. citizens age 18 and above.  Students below age 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Please coordinate the attendance of students below the age of 21 with Critical Edge in advance of signing up for the class.  There is no prerequisite for this class.  But\, taking the NRA Basic Pistol course or equivalent before undertaking this Study Hall session is highly encouraged.  Students must be thoroughly familiar with their pistol\, its operation and demonstrate safe firearms handling skills throughout the course.   \nGiven the scarcity and expense of ammunition\, we will rely heavily on laser pistols (provided by Critical Edge)  to reduce the expenditure of live ammunition.  You will need your own eye and hearing protection as well as your own center fire pistol and 50 rounds of ammunition.  Additionally\, you will need a small tactical flashlight capable of fitting in your pocket.    Recommended gear:  An outside the waistband (OWB)  hip holster\, a sturdy belt (capable of supporting a loaded pistol and magazine carriers)\,  a  magazine pouch and at least two extra magazines or speed loaders (belt carriers encouraged).  No back up guns\, shoulder holsters\, ankle holsters\, small-of the-back holsters or cross-draw holsters are allowed.    \nTo reserve a spot in the Study Hall please go to the following to make payment:  https://criticaledge.us/make-a-payment/  The fee for the session is $25.00 for Duncannon Sportsmen’s members and $30.00 for non-members.
