The topics presented form the core knowledge and skills used in all pistol shooting activities\, from informal recreational shooting through hunting\, competition and self-defense. Safety is foundational to the entire course. Included are segments on gun handling\, shooting positions\, pistol shooting activities\, pistol types\, ammunition\, and selection of pistols\, ammunition and accessories. \nThis class is limited to 8 participants. Seven people have signed up. Please contact me before registering or paying for the class (carl.walker@criticaledge.us) to make sure a spot is still available. \nThe course is open to US citizens age 21 and above. The cost of the course is $95.00.  Duncannon Sportsmen’s Association members receive a $10.00 discount. \nThere will be a lunch break. Students\, however\, should plan to bring their own sack lunch. The Sportsmen’s Association is located in a rural area without nearby dining options. Water and sodas will be available from the Association. \nThe classroom portion of the course will be conducted inside. Live fire will be conducted at an outdoor range. Sun screen\, bug repellant\, a hat and weather appropriate clothing are recommended. \nCaution:  A GPS may take you to the back side of the property with no direct access.  Use the following directions:  The clubhouse and grounds are located on Montebello Farm Road.  Take the PA-274 W exit off US-11/15 and head west on PA-274 for 3.8 miles.  Turn right onto Montebello Farm Rd/Trail 466 and travel for 1 mile.  The clubhouse and grounds are on the left. \nYou do not need a pistol of your own to take this class.  All live fire is conducted on a one-one-one basis with an NRA certified instructor. Critical Edge LLC will provide a pistol and ammunition for this class.  Students who have their own firearm\, and wish to shoot it\, will have an opportunity to do so.  In such cases\, the student must provide their own ammunition.
